An existing, motley mix of rudimentary school classrooms is replaced by a handsome, consolidated school building, built in three parts that together with the existing temple, encircles a secure and serene inner courtyard. The khaki painted external facade, coupled with the locally woven bamboo screens is an attempt to allow this somewhat larger structure to blend into the more intimately scale rural landscape.
